When I was in grade school, I hatched a plan to run for student government. I thought someone could get elected by promising everyone free pizza or ice cream on Fridays. I don’t think I was serious, but I shared the idea with some friends and they said it was a bad idea. They were right.
Of course, there were the obvious reasons. How could a student promise free pizza or ice cream? ...
