It was a rematch that a lot of people wanted to see. Polk County defeated Gothenburg 8-2 in 6 innings last Tuesday in a rematch of last year’s District Final. The Swedes wanted revenge and the Slammers wanted to show last year was no fluke.
The Slammers scored all 8 of their runs in the first three innings and the defense held on as the Swedes only managed 2 runs off their 11 hits....
