CENTRAL CITY – After slogging to a 17-13 halftime lead over host Central City, Cross County’s defense clamped down even more during a 16-6 third-quarter spurt that gave the Cougars breathing room en route to a 42-25 victory that earned them their second straight Runza Holiday Basketball Tourney title Saturday night.
