Due to rising costs, the Polk County News is increasing some prices. The counter price for a paper is going up from $1.00 to $1.25. The counter price has been $1.00 for 10 years, with the last increase from 75 cents to $1.00 in January 2014.
Our costs for mailing and printing is going up as well as website storage, so our subscriptions are going up a little.
