POLK — The game was not as close as the scoreboard showed at the end of the game.
High Plains cruised to a 50-40 win over Hampton on Thursday. The Storm jumped out to a quick start and used a frustrating defense to force the Hawks into numerous turnovers. High Plains held a commanding 34-8 lead heading into the intermission.
