Betty C. Kjelson of Pfafftown, North Carolina passed away August 26, 2022.
She was born Betty Aasen in Fairbury, Nebraska on September 22, 1927. She graduated from Fairbury High School and the University of Nebraska where she met and married Lee Kjelson of Stromsburg. They had two sons, Richard and Jay.
Betty was an accomplished artist and was the designer of the metal sculpture depicting Swedish heritage, which was displayed in the First National Bank of Stromsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; son, Richard; and sister-in-law, Sally Kjelson.
She is survived by her son, Jay and wife Margee of Pfafftown, North Carolina and 10 grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held September 24, 2022 in North Carolina.
