Mark Allen Glatter, age 65, of Shelby, Nebraska, passed away October 22, 2023 in the Moskee Mountains in Wyoming.

Memorial services will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby with Father Andrew Litt officiating. Organist will be Avis Rathje. Musical selections will be “Here I Am Lord”, “Take My Hand”, “How Great ThouArt”, and “Amazing Grace.” Graveside service to follow at Graceland Cemetery in Shelby.

Mark was born July 9, 1958 to Richard Leo and Jean Marie (Ingalls) Glatter in David City, Nebraska. He attended school in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School with the class of 1976.After high school he attended Wayne State College and played baseball. Following his college years, he moved to Fairbanks,Alaska for 25 years and then moved to Powell, Wyoming before returning home to Shelby, Nebraska.

Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing, being outdoors, riding his 4-wheeler, grilling steaks for the family and telling Grizzly bear hunting stories.

Survivors include his mother Jean Alt of Osceola; sister Dena (Jeremy) Anderson of Osceola; nieces Savannah Anderson (Parklynn Schoch), Shyanne Anderson and nephew Sawyer Anderson and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard Glatter, fiance Melinda Pitsch and his grandparents James Homer and Helen Ingalls, Mathew and Marie Glatter.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
