Ronald Laible

Funeral services for Ronald Laible, age 81, of Creighton formerly of Shelby, Nebraska, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Bloomfield, Nebraska. Reverend Marcus Knecht will be celebrant, with burial in Magnet Cemetery in Magnet, Nebraska.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church, with a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service Brockhaus Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald died Wednesday,April 1, 2026, atAvera Creighton Hospital.

Ronald Stanley Laible, son of Felix and Chestra (Rzeszotarski) Laible, was born October 16, 1944, at Stuart, Nebraska. He attended Stuart Public Schools. He was blessed with six children, Hally, Angela, Tom, Dustin, Laurie, and Shane.

Ronald worked as a truck driver while residing in Shelby, Nebraska. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Ronald enjoyed bowling, camping, hunting, and attending his grandchildren’s events.

Ronald is survived by his children, Hally (Kurt) Ziegler, Angela Weber, Tom (Gina) Laible, Dustin (Lori) Laible, Laurie Steinhauser, and Shane Steinhauser; 27 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; his siblings, Jerry (Karen) Laible of Arkansas, Jim Laible of Nebraska, and Casey (Tammy) Laible of Kansas; and step-children, Charlotte (Dan) Alt of Shelby, Eugene Metteer of Shelby, and Joseph Peery of Sioux Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; grandchildren, Dakota Ziegler and Alexis Laible; step-daughter-in-law, Dori Metteer; and step-grandson-in-law, Blaux Harris.
