Savanna Wood

Savanna Wood was born on February 20th, 2008 in Hastings, Nebraska. She passed away at home on December 10th, 2023 at the age of 15. She is loved by many, including her close friends and family. Savanna was passionate about helping others in need, including ones with paws and hooves. She dreamt of becoming a veterinarian and a foster mom. Her love and kindness showed no bounds. She loved art and music, always surprising others with her knowledge of lyrics, no matter the song you played. She sang and danced like no one was watching, and enjoyed living in the moment. Her favorite colors were pink, purple, or anything that sparkled. She is survived by her mother, Keli Wood-Petersen of Polk, NE. Her grandparents, Gary and Julia Wood of Polk, NE. Her sisters and brother, Ashleigh Hayman of Grand Island, Ne, Megan Manka of Hastings, NE, and Charli Petersen of Sidney, NE and Garrett Manka of Polk, NE. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her funeral will be held in Grand Island, NE at the Livingston-Sondermann funeral home. The date and time will be announced at a later date.
