Ron L. Micek, age 74 of Shelby, died Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby. Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00-7:30 p.m.

Dixie Lee Jameson

Dixie Lee, the daughter of Edgar and Doris Peterson (née Falk) was born in Osceola, Nebraska on July 8th, 1935. She grew up on a homestead near Swede Home, Nebraska, and attended and graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1954.

Willard “Dean” Lindburg, 87, of Hordville, died Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Memorial Community Care in Aurora, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Monday, September 18, 2023 at 10 a.m. at High Prairie Community Church in Polk, Nebraska with Pastor Justin Smith officiating.

Janis “Emily” Brown

On Sept 2, 2023, the world lost an exceptional human, a loving mother, devoted friend, and legendary educator. She was born Janis Peterson, in Osceola NE on October 22, 1952. She flourished in small-town rural life, and later spoke so fondly of memories on the farm with her five siblings.

Susan Marie Cramer Olson, age 65, of Lincoln, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 with her husband and daughter at her side. Sue was born December 19, 1957, to Larry and Alice Cramer in Denver, Colorado.

Melanie Monson

Melanie M. Monson, 72, died September 6, 2023, at the Waterford Care Center in Lincoln, NE. She passed away after battling Alzheimer’s disease for many years. Melanie was born November 27, 1950, in Osceola, Nebraska, to Wallace and Virginia Monson.
