REPRESENTING YOUThe 1st Regular Session of the 109th Legislature marks the first time that Senators are limited on the number of bills they can introduce. Each Senator is limited in introducing no more than 20 bills, while each committee of the Legislature is limited to 10.

BETH’S BITSI’m sitting in my chair trying to come up with a topic and my cat decides to put her claw/paw in my hair. I tell her “no”, as I don’t have that much anyway. She does it again, and that’s it. She’s in trouble. I drag her off the back of the chair and now she’s sitting in my lap.

ALAN’S ANECDOTESOver the weekend I saw an astronomy alert. Monday night (January 13th) there would be a rare occurrence to observe. The moon would pass in front of the planet Mars. When an object passes in front of another object in the night sky, it’s called an “occultation.
