The Secretary of State’s Elections Division certified the Paid Sick Leave initiative petition for the November 5 general election ballot. County election offices completed signature verification within the 40-day period as required in Nebraska Revised Statute § 32-1409.

More Questions Than Answers in Special Session

The Nebraska Legislature was called back to work by Governor Jim Pillen to fix what he has called a property tax crisis.While I applaud the sentiment, I do not think a rushed solution can really fix a crisis. Some have said the special session could last two weeks.
