Cougars Add Win Over Bulldogs, Slip Past Osceola 41-36

STROMSBURG – Cougar starter Ella Clark sat out for this game due to injury, but the Cougars still managed a win against the Bulldogs 41-36.The first quarter was close.

MEAD- Coming out of the NSAA Five-Day Sports Moratorium a coach never really knows what his team will do in the first game following the break.Osceola took a 12-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and were a very respectable 5 of 9 from the field as they built the early advantage.

OSCEOLA- The Osceola Bulldogs ended the pre-Christmas portion of their schedule with games against Nebraska Prep No. 6 D2 Dorchester and a Friday night road trip to David City Aquinas.

BRAINARD – Despite 15 points apiece by Jackson Winslow and Braydon Santos, Osceola’s boys basketball team lost a 51-42 tussle at East Butler last Thursday as Tiger standout Drew Wachal tallied a game-high 25 points and teammate Owen Obbink added 14.

BRAINARD – Osceola freshman Kalisyn Prososki picked a good time to make her lone three-point basket of the game Thursday night, a bank shot at the top of the key with about 40 seconds left, that gave her team the lead and her two foul shots finished off a 53-48 thriller at East Butler.

Bulldog Boy’s Open with Weekend Split of Hoops Action

OSCEOLA – After winning its opener at NG/SE last Thursday, the Osceola boys basketball team struggled to find consistent offense outside of Brayden Santos, dropping a 65-29 decision to visiting Pierce on Friday to fall to 1-1 on the season.
