Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held each Tuesday of the month. They will be held at the Senior Center and rotate between each town in Polk County.

Immunization Clinics Nov. 9, 21

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Wednesday, November 9th from 3:30 to 5:30 and Monday, November 21st from 3:30 to 5:30. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.

History of Voting in the United States

In the Constitution in 1789, voting was limited to property- owning or tax-paying white males (about 6% of the population. The Naturalization Act of 1790 limited citizenship to free white persons.

Farm Community Assists Peterson Family

Farmers from Stromsburg, Polk, Hordville and Clarks rallied around the Peterson family over the weekend to help bring in the harvest following the death of Nate Peterson, who died in a car accident September 16.
