OSCEOLA - Last Monday (the 13th), some politicians visited Polk County and gave their presentation on why they were running and should be elected. About 35 people were in attendance at the Osceola Civic Center.The federal candidates were first, and then state and then local/ county.

The Shelby EUB Church, officially named as the Castle Memorial Evangelical United Brethren Church, was demolished on Thursday.The village of Shelby decided to demolish the building as it was in very bad shape and deemed a hazard.

GRAND ISLAND - Osceola and Shelby-Rising City cheer/ dance teams took part in the Heartland championships in Lincoln on Sunday, January 12th. Both teams did very well bring home two trophies for first.
