Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome any day during office hours.

Immunization Clinics Oct. 12,17

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Wednesday October 12th, 2022 from 1:30 to 3:30 and Monday, October 17th from 3:30 to 5:30. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.

Homecoming at Shelby-Rising City is Friday

SHELBY — Friday night homecoming royalty will be crowned after the Shelby-Rising City football game against Madison. Homecoming candidates include Cohen Calahan and Liberty Baker, Kole Eikmeier and Angel Barnes, Justin Knoll and Aurora Slusarski and Payton Sliva and Zoey Waller.

As combines pop up in fields across the Midwest, the Nebraska Corn Board and Nebraska Corn Growers Association encourage farmers, as well as local residents and visitors, to take a second for safety in rural areas this harvest season.

2 die in Friday morning crash

OSCEOLA — Two people were killed in a vehicle accident just before 8 a.m. Friday morning. Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Polk County emergency personnel responded to a call at 7:41 a.m. Friday that two vehicles collided on State Highway 81/92 between Q and R roads, just east of Osceola.
