STROMSBURG — A first-year coach using a first-year varsity player is not usually the recipe for success in high school volleyball, but Cross County head coach Emmie Noyd inserted freshman Sydney Hengelfelt as the starting setter and the Cougars have clicked like a well-oiled machine for most of the fall.
