CENTRAL CITY — Cross County stayed on a roll on Thursday, defeating Central City in straight sets.
The Cougars topped the Bison 25-22, 25-12, 25-15 to stay undefeated on the season.
Bren Lemburg led the Cross County attack with nine kills, while Lilly Peterson added seven kills. Sydney Hengelfelt has three aces and 25 assists. Bricelynn Larson and Jayden Fellows each had three blocks, while Peterson finished with two blocks.
The win propelled the Cougars up the polls this week, finding themselves at No. 9 in the Class C-2 Coaches Poll.
Cross County (4-0) returns home on Tuesday to take on Osceola (2-5) and McCool Junction (1-7).
