Huskies Finish 7th at West Point-Beemer Invite

NORFOLK — Shelby-Rising City girls golf finished seventh Saturday at the West Point-Beemer Invite, shooting a 547.

“Indian Trails is a beast of a course considering we have so many golfers on our team with very minimal experience,” Huskies coach Sara Jensen said. “I was proud of the girls for their efforts.”

Jenna Logan led the way, shooting a 123. Aurora Slusarski shot a 127. Lillian Wetjen and Clare Willis finished with 144 and 153, respectively.

Junior Varsity: Loralie Logan 148, Lila Weddle 163, Melanie Sanchez Diaz 178, Elva Velasco 182.

Bennington took home first place at the invite, shooting a 393 — 37 strokes ahead of second place. All five Bennington golfers finished in the top 12 of the field.
