HOWELLS – After winning 23 games and a conference title, the Cross County boys basketball team’s hopes for a Class C2 state berth were shot down by an efficient long-range shooting display from host Howells-Dodge, who beat the Cougars 63-47 Monday to win the C2-7 district title.
