POLK — The old saying goes: Defense wins ballgames.
The Storm girls basketball team is the latest example of the saying being true. Defense carried High Plains (3-1) on Friday as they held Exeter-Milligan (0-7) to three points in the second and third quarter as the Storm built a 17-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.
