KEARNEY- A long week of softball for the Polk County Slammers opened last Tuesday night with a road triangular at Kearney Catholic with the Swedes of Gothenburg the third team competing.
Kearney Catholic, one of the top teams in Class C defeated Polk County 16-0, but the Slammers didn’t leave Kearney empty handed as they fought back for an 11-1 win over Gothenburg.
