    STROMSBURG- It wasn’t quite a Christmas Miracle, but it was pretty darn close.

    Last November the three schools that make up the Polk County Slammers girls softball team (Cross County/High Plains and Osceola) were looking at playing only a JV schedule in 2026, due to low numbers projected for the 2026 season.
