Slammers Crowned Champions at York Tourney

    YORK – After capturing a Class C state title in 2022, the Polk County Slammers summer softball team finished 2023 in style, placing first among seven teams at a summer-ending tournament at York’s Sports Complex last weekend, edging Central City 3-2 in seven innings Sunday.
