SHELBY - After dropping two close games during the previous eight days, the 14-u Rebels lost 14-1 to Malcolm 1 in Shelby on Monday night to fall to 2-3 overall.
Malcolm opened the scoring with two runs in the first inning off losing pitcher Ridley Cromer, but the home team cut the lead with a run in the bottom half of the frame.
