OSCEOLA – Courtney Sunday had thrown more than 5,000 pitches for her Polk County Slammers high school team during her fouryear career, but she had tossed thousands more to her dad Justin or sister Sadie on a field in Osceola during her childhood.
On Thursday, she showed once more how much the effort has paid off.
