CC Girls Add Another Win at Friend

FRIEND - Thursday Cross County girls came home with a big win over EMF 68-27.The Lady Cougars are versatile, so opposing teams may not know who will score. Sometimes it’s Adrienne Waller or Lindee Kelley or Bricelynn Larson.

STROMSBURG – It’s supposed to be the season for giving and the Cross County boys basketball team is already showing that – when it concerns its offense – the Cougars are willing and able to sacrifice for the greater good.

Lady Cougars Open With Decisive Victories, Diversified Offense

STROMSBURG – Two days does not a season make, but Cross County’s girls basketball team showed enough during lopsided victories that they are equipped offensively for a successful campaign.

Cougars Look for Balanced Offense This Season

STROMSBURG – Last year, a senior-dominated lineup was a blessing for Cross County head basketball coach Jimmy Blex, who watched a handful of two-year starters make a late-season run to finish 24-6 and earn third-place honors in the NSAA Class C-2 division.

CCO Wrestling Has Many Newcomers

Cross County-Osceola has a new coach and many new wrestlers. Coach Dylan Kaup has been coaching wrestling at the junior high level for CCO, but this year he has both. Ben Berggren is assisting.With only five returning wrestlers, many wrestlers will have things to learn.

Kelley Focused As Cougars Seek 3rd Straight Trip to State

STROMSBURG –As an athlete who has earned All-State mention of some sort in three sports, it would be hard to argue that Lindee Kelley passes the proverbial ‘eye test’ when it comes to proving her worth as a competitor.

Cross County Hopes Balanced Scoring Equals Third Straight Trip to State

STROMSBURG – After going 22-5 two seasons ago and earning a state girls basketball berth, head coach Mitch Boshart’s team was one game better last winter as the Cougars finished 23-4 and made it to state again.

Happy Ending for Cougars with 30-14 Win Over Centura

STROMSBURG – A move up to 11-man football with an inexperienced squad made for some adjusting, but after beating Centura 30-14 in its final regular season game last Friday, the Cougars finished 4-5 and gave 11 seniors a victory formation send-off on the game’s final play.
