Cougar Boys Get First Loss In a Close One

STROMSBURG – If anyone doubted the value of Cross County point guard Ashton Seim, they needed only to watch the Cougars Saturday afternoon against visiting Centennial during a 52-44 defeat.

Cougars Get Two Wins Over Huskies

SHELBY – Cross County made the short trip to Shelby to face the Huskies on Friday night. GIRLS The Huskies got off to a slow start, but the Cougars seemed ready in the first quarter.

Husky Wrestling Takes 3rd at Lakeview

In team scores, Shelby-Rising City came in third with 159 points behind Columbus Lakeview (182 points) and Raymond Central (175 points).

Cross County Declares as 11-Man Football

The NSAA (Nebraska School Activities Association) asks schools to declare their football class by November 30th of the previous year.All our area schools have remained in 8-man except one. Cross County has to move to 11-man.

Cougars Win Over Mustangs Using Defense

STROMSBURG - Cross County High's boys basketball team used a strong defensive effort and 10 points from Alex Noyd to take a 26-13 halftime lead en route to a 44-31 opening-night victory over visiting McCool Junction Thursday night.

Lady Cougars Come Through Against Mustangs

STROMSBURG – Two of the better small-school basketball programs in the area met up at Cross County High School Thursday night, with All-Stater McKenna Yates and McCool Junction providing an immediate test for the Cougar girls.

STROMSBURG - Cross County Osceola has nine boys out for wrestling this season. Returning state qualifier is Devin Nuttelman, although he will likely be wrestling at a heavier weight due to growth and working out.
