Storm Has Bright Future With Returning Players

POLK - With a 16-8 record last year and making it to district finals, the Storm boys’ basketball team has a bright future. They lost two seniors, but neither were starters as Gavin Morris was injured much of the season and Cameron Bohaboj was a guard off the bench.

Raiders More Prepared for Take Two with Storm

CLARKS - Just two weeks prior, the Storm beat the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders 47-20 with big plays by Gage Friesen. The Raiders adjusted for the second meeting, as they were on Friesen more but the Storm defense held on for the win 22-20.

Osceola vs. HPC VB “Take Two..”

OSCEOLA- When you’re in the same conference and subdistrict with a team, you don’t just meet once or twice, but no sometimes three times. Osceola and High Plains met three times within one week.Friday was the second time and Osceola had home court advantage.

Three’s A Charm; Storm Wins in Subs Over Osceola

FRIEND – After losing to Osceola twice during a five-day stretch, the prospect of playing the Bulldogs might’ve felt a bit daunting for High Plains as the Class D1-5 sub-districts began Monday night at Friend High School.

High Plains Places Fourth

YORK - High Plains started the conference tournament with a game against Nebraska Lutheran, who they beat in two sets, 25-21 and 25-17.Courtney Carlstrom led in kills with 6, followed by Emma Brown with 4, with Peyton Hofmann and HallieJo Urkoski each adding 2 and Rylee Ackerson adding 1.

Storm Wins Over Deshler, Will Host Playoff

DESHLER - High Plains traveled south to Deshler to take on the Dragons. The Storm claimed a 65-12 win.The Storm scored early and often against the Dragons, up 28-0 after one quarter. The first touchdown was just 11 seconds into the game as Gage Friesen ran a 65-yard touchdown.

Lady Storm Go 1-1 in Shickley

SHICKLEY - High Plains made their way south to Shickley for a triangular against Lawrence-Nelson and 4th ranked host, BDS. High Plains got the middle and last games of the evening. The first game was BDS against Lawrence-Nelson, which BDS won in two sets with the last one 25-19.

Storm Surprises The Raiders with The Win

CLARKS – The Storm (4-2) hosted the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders (4-2) on Friday. The Storm came out with the win 47-20.The Raiders kicked off and the Storm got the ball first. Haden Helgoth and Gage Friesen took turns running the ball and got two first downs before they were called for a false start.
