Lady Storm Add 4 Wins Including Over Meridian

MERIDIAN - High Plains traveled to Meridian Tuesday for a triangular that also included Hampton.High Plains got the big win over Meridian, losing the first set 25-13 but coming back to win the next two 25-20 and 25-23.Stats: Kills: C. Carlstrom 8, E. Brown 7, R.Ackerson 6, P. Hofmann 5.

Storm Dominates Giltner to Move to 4-2

GILTNER – Gage Friesen rushed 11 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns and Haden Helgoth, Jacob Lesiak, and Kaden Rieken also ran in one score apiece as High Plains moved to 4-2 with a 61-14 win at Giltner High last Friday night.

Slammers End Season with Loss to York

YORK – During losses this season, the Polk County Slammers have made an average of three errors per game and in Class B-8 sub-district semifinal play Monday afternoon the trend continued to the team’s detriment.

Storm Plagued by Penalties in Loss to Eagles

CLARKS – Homecoming for High Plains was against the Bruning- Davenport/Shickley Eagles. Friday’s game was exciting with the Storm leading at half, but the Eagles coming back for the win, 34-20.

Cougars Edge High Plains as Part of Triangular

STROMSBURG – In the midst of eight matches in a five-day stretch, Cross County’s volleyball team battled Polk County rival High Plains and won a 30-28, 2519 decision over High Plains at a home triangular Thursday.

Storm Suffers First Lost to Riverside

CLARKS – Riverside came to Clarks to battle the Storm in 8-man football Friday night. The Chargers won 42-16.The Chargers took an early lead after a false start penalty on the Storm, putting in the touchdown and two points after. The Storm had one round of downs and had to punt.

High Plains Notches First Loss

POLK – High Plains hosted Nebraska Christian on Thursday. The 4-1 D2 Storm lost to the 3-3 D1 Eagles last year in three sets.High Plains took the lead in the first set, but the Eagles were never far behind. After holding at 24 points for four points, High Plains finished it 25-23.

Storm Volleyball Keeps Win Streak Alive
