April 9, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.) — The suspect involved in a murder-suicide in Polk County earlier this week has died.
Wesley Absher, 40, was pronounced deceased Wednesday afternoon at Bryan Health West Campus in Lincoln.
The investigation remains ongoing.
