As the end of 2021 draws near we reflect on the past 12 months and we recall times of doing all the activities over the in-house television due to restrictions, then the days when it seemed things were getting back to normal—whatever that is! (One author declares, “It’s only a setting on your dryer!”) Our main objective was to go with the flow and make life at Midwest Covenant Home as pleasurable for the residents.
It was good to be able to have group activities, again, such as Music Monday, crafts, trivia time, Travel the USA, Suitcase Ventures and Squeezebox Serenade, as well as in person Sunday worship. We do miss the interaction with outside groups, like we had before, especially the children. Yet, we have enjoyed the window visits. Do you recall the caroling of old? We stroll down the streets and caroled outside while occupants of the homes watched through the windows. If you do plan to visit, please call first to see what restrictions may be in place. This is for the health of our residents as well as you, the visitor.
We at Midwest Covenant Home wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
