2022! Can you believe it? Only the good Lord knows what is ahead for us in 2022. We all have our hopes and wishes— number one being to get rid of this crazy Covid stuff! But wishes are as the wind, they blow through our minds and are gone. We can look back over 2021, reflecting on what was, and that’s not all bad. It helps to be grateful for the good times, evaluate the difficult times to learn from them, and see how God brought us through it all.
At Midwest Covenant Home we have learned to take each day as it comes, enjoy the blessings of the day, learn from the mistakes, and better ourselves, and be flexible. We look for the good in the circumstances as well as in each other, and do our best to care for our elders, their families, and each other. The past two years have been very challenging in many ways, and we do not know what 2022 will bring. But we do know that by God’s grace, and with His help, we will do our best to bring joy, love and compassion to each resident every day, to encourage and uplift one another in all we do, demonstrating God’s love as we perform our duties.
“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:34, 35) This is our prayer for you in 2022.
