Firework sales started Sunday in Nebraska and Polk County was no exception. Shelby has a stand right off the main intersection of highways 81 and 69. Stromsburg has one near the Polk County RPPD office on Third Street. Osceola’s is by the Fire Hall, so at least we know trucks wouldn’t take long to respond if anything happens.
