Osceola Opens Little Bulldogs Day Care

Body

Little Bulldogs Daycare opened in October 2021. The daycare is conveniently located adjoining the Osceola Public Schools and right next to the preschool room. There is one daycare provider, Cindy Cordero. She is licensed for twelve children and the facility can take twelve. However she is comfortable for the eight she has now, and is not looking for more children. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. She provides breakfast, snack, lunch and an afternoon snack. There is no state funds, so parents pay for their children to attend. The school therapist visits regularly to help with ideas for discipline and behavior. The school added a daycare because they saw the need for it in Osceola and because it’s convenient for preschoolers and teachers with children.

As you can see by the pho to, the inside is very nicely arranged with a TV, toys, shelves and cubbies for each child. In addition, there is a small kitchen area where Cindy prepares their meals and snacks. Behind the cubbies is an area for nap time. She also has high chairs, a rocking chair to rock babies to sleep, and pack-and-plays. They can go play outside in the fenced-in area when the elementary kids are not using it. Cindy said unfortunately they’ve only done this a couple times.

If children misbehave, they are given warnings and then sent to timeout. Kids are expected to obey Cindy, and everyone gets along much better then. She said most of the children are picked up by about 4:30 but there are a couple who stay until 5 p.m. She said she enjoys children and a benefit is she gets to take care of her grandchildren.
