WICHITA, KS - Frank Severt Gestrine was known as the first Polk County “boy” to sacrifice his life in World War I, but not much was known about how he got wounded in the war...until recently.
The research of Mallory Morton and Matt Treaster of Wichita and Jane Gestrine revealed more details about how he was wounded.
