Each year the Nebraska Choral Directors Association hold a few events. One is the Singing Youth of Nebraska. This event is by audition only. Over 500 youth aged 7th to 9th grade auditioned for this honor choir. A limit of 20 students per teacher is set for auditions. Only teachers who are members of that association can enter students.
