Saturday morning Stromsburg Cub Scout Pack 241 had their Pinewood Derby! Scouts designed and made their own pine race cars (with help) and raced them down the race track.

Swedish Festival

A productive meeting was held on February 26th for the June 19-21 Stromsburg Swedish Midsommar Festival. The website is not current yet, but will be soon.A limited number of food trucks will be available but the goal is to support the local businesses and groups first.

Two Rivers Trout Lake opens March 14

The Two Rivers State Recreation Area Trout Lake in Douglas County will open March 14. This creates an exceptional opportunity for people to experience higher catch rates of rainbow trout, enjoy great spring outdoor recreation, and introduce some new people to fishing.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is reinvesting into the state’s recreational resources to enhance outdoor experiences, support state tourism, and provide safe and accessible amenities in state park areas and trails.
