OSCEOLA - Congressman Mike Flood represents the eastern half of Polk County, and has recently made two trips to our county. About 15 months ago, he visited the Polk County RPPD and the Polk County News in Stromsburg. Last Thursday, he visited several places in Osceola and Shelby.

YORK - The Cornhusker Hwy 81 Showdown took place on August 4th at the York County Fairgrounds. This is like a district livestock contest for students. It is not affiliated with 4-H, but you do have to participate in your county fair or be enrolled at state fair to participate.
