OSCEOLA - About 120 students from all four schools visited the Osceola courthouse on Monday for County Government Day.They gathered in the courtroom about 9 AM and did the Pledge of Allegiance led by veteran Milton Toy.

The winner of week thirteen is Ken Zelasney of Silver Creek. He missed just four games.Coming in second were three people who missed five: Lynda Burritt, Nathan Clendain and Ryan Pfannkuch.There were 33 entries this week. The Huskers couldn’t get it done against Penn State this week.

CLARKS - On Thursday (Nov. 20th), the Clarks Public Library and High Plains Elementary hosted Karen Land, three-time Iditarod participant, and her dog Sophia for a presentation.Land started talking about mushing and asked students if they knew what a musher was.

DALA DOE COMES TO STROMSBURG

STROMSBURG - A special item is coming to Stromsburg, a “dala doe” sculpture made by Marilyn Tenney of Lyons. This dala doe is a Nebraskan twist of the traditional Swedish dala horse.

5155E Robotics Qualifies for State

OMAHA - The Cereal Killers were singular this weekend, as just one breakfast fan was able to compete on Saturday. Sam Haug brought his best, placing first in skills with a score of 103 and pairing up with 8151W from Grand Island for the tournament and fighting for first there.

Santa Claus at Library

The Shelby Community Library will host Santa Claus on Thursday, December 4th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. This is a great time to take photos with Santa by the fireplace, so remember your camera or phone. Refreshments will be served.
The Nebraska Music Educators Association (NMEA) All-State Choir is an elite, audition-based honor ensemble for Nebraska students, typically selected through a rigorous process. Selected students rehearse under a nationally known conductor and perform at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln as part of the annual NMEA Conference/Clinic.
