Osceola Garden Tours Includes Four Gardens

OSCEOLA - Grow Osceola, a division of the Osceola Community Action Group, held their annual garden tour on Saturday. They had 91 people signed up and 7 volunteers.Attenders took a self-guided tour of four gardens: The Bartak Garden, The Good Sam Garden, Veteran’s Memorial Wall and the Girard Garden.

Judge Rejects James’ Challenge of Death Penalty

LINCOLN - Sterling.James’ case went to Lancaster County District Court on Wednesday (July 15th). Previously James’ attorney filed that the Nebraska death penalty was unconstitutional. On Wednesday, Judge Kevin R. McManaman overruled that filing.

Fatal Accident in Polk County Monday

Polk County NewsOSCEOLA - On Monday, July 20th at 6:09 AM, Polk County Dispatch received a 911 call about a pickup that struck an ATV. The accident occurred on Highway 92 east of the F Road intersection. Upon investigation it was discovered that an ATV was traveling west bound on Highway 92.

Hughes Visits Polk County

SHELBY - Wednesday (July 15th), Nebraska State Senator Jana Hughes visited two of our towns: Osceola in the morning and Shelby in the afternoon. Polk County News was on hand in the afternoon to find out what area residents are concerned about.This was her second and third visits.
