The Shelby-RC Huskies 2026 summer football camp was held last week before the intense heat hit the area. The Huskies went through blocking drills and worked on a few plays last Tuesday as they get ready for the start of fall practice which will get started on Monday, August 10, with their season opener on Friday, August 28. The High Plains Youth Volleyball camp was held in Clarks July 15-17 in the morning at the elementary school. Campers worked on the fundamentals of the game as they prepare for the upcoming season. Photos were provided.

Lincoln, Neb. — The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced that hay harvesting permit applications for the public will be accepted through an online application portal beginning July 30 at 12:01 a.m. CST. Individuals must have a permit to harvest hay on state right-of-way.
