Enjoy fun July events in southwestern state parks

Spend some time this summer in Nebraska’s southwestern state parks. During July, a variety of events are planned for those for all ages and interests.Don’t forget to purchase a required vehicle park entry permit to enter the state parks. Get one at OutdoorNebraska.gov or at state park entrances.

REPRESENTING YOUThis week, pro-life Americans marked the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v Jackson 2022 ruling which restored states’ ability to affirm the constitutional right to life for unborn children.

This week I’m taking a moment to wish my dear hubby a happy 82nd birthday on the 4th. In honor of his special day, I’d like to share with you some thoughts Ron penned several years ago. I think you will find them appropriate as we Americans celebrate our nation’s birthday, as well.

Osceola United Methodist Church Mission Trip

This mission team spent June 6 - 13 at the Lake Traverse Indian Reservation in northeastern South Dakota.Day 1- We left our church after service at 10:30 AM and reached our destination at 5:30 PM which was Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, South Dakota.

It was far too early to 'rise and shine' when I awoke one recent morn, but further sleep soon seemed out of the question-. I then opted to grab a cup of steamy 'Joe' and tune into a well-respected newscast.
