Commissioners to Consider Mountain Lion Season The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will consider recommendations for a 2026 mountain lion hunting season at its June 13 meeting in Sidney.The meeting begins at 8 a.m. Mountain time at the Country Inn and Suites, 664 Chase Blvd.

Corby Wyatt Cannon of Silver Creek was among a record 110 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students who were recognized as Chancellor’s Scholars during the undergraduate commencement ceremonies May 17 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The school board held their monthly board meeting on Monday, June 9th. One action item was on the agenda to be approved and that was to approve the textbook proposals for 9-12 science classes for the 25-26 school year.

Annual Booster Club Golf Tourney

Cross County’s 20th annual golf tournament and fundraiser will be Saturday, July 26th at Ryan Hill Country Club with an 8 am registration and 9 am shotgun start.Register by July 19th by contacting Jarod Capler or Rachel Branting.It’s a 2-person scramble with cost of $60 which includes lunch.
