    SHELBY- A pair of season openers on Thursday night resulted in the Shelby-Rising City Huskies getting the season started with a 2-0 record.

    The Huskies opened with a 2-0 win over H and H Bearcats by the scores of 25-12 and 25-18 and an even more domination sweep of Twin River, 25-14 and 25-6.

    Next up for the Huskies is a Polk County showdown at Cross County High School on Thursday, September 3.
