Plans for the Stromsburg Swedish Midsommar Festival are made and posters printed. The popular yellow booklet with details of the schedule of events are available. There may be a few additions, which will be posted to the website, but it is very close to final.

Annual Booster Club Golf Tourney

Cross County’s 20th annual golf tournament and fundraiser will be Saturday, July 26th at Ryan Hill Country Club with an 8 am registration and 9 am shotgun start.Register by July 19th by contacting Jarod Capler or Rachel Branting.It’s a 2-person scramble with cost of $60 which includes lunch.

Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held each Tuesday of the month. They will be held at the Senior Center and rotate between each town in Polk County.

Benedict woman arrested, accused of having daughter help her sell illegal drugs

YORK – Shantell Perkins, 36, of Benedict, has been arrested and charged with three counts related to selling illegal drugs and using her daughter to help her commit the crimes.

Homeschool Panel Discussion

Saturday, June 7th at Buckley Park from 9 AM to 11 AM, there will be a homeschool discussion. Location will be pavilion across from the ball fields. Come explore homeschooling with a variety of local homeschool moms as they share who they are and how they do it! Questions and curiosity is welcome!
