THE PRAIRIE DOCBy Jill Kruse, DO The most recent survey of teen mental health by the Centers for Disease Control in 2023 revealed that 20.3% of adolescents in the United States have been diagnosed with a mental health condition. This reflects a 35% increase since 2016.

Children’s Immunization Clinics The Polk County Health Department will have an immunization clinic at the Polk County Health Department, Stromsburg, NE, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. An appointment is required.

Senior Center

February activities at the Osceola Senior center: February 11th: Bunco at 1 PM. All are welcome.February 12: Potluck at 11:30 AM with the Catholic ladies hosting. They will provide the main dish and dessert. You may bring a salad or vegetable to complete the meal.
