HPC Hall of Fame

The High Plains Hall of Fame will be Friday, February 7th at Polk High School between the girls’ and boys’ varsity games (about 7:15 PM). Find out who the recipients are in next week’s PCN.

Chick Fil-A Fundraiser

Saturday, Feb. 8th at the Cross County-High Plains game, Chick Fil-A will be available. Part of the profits go to support Cross County Post Prom. Serving from 5-8 PM or until sold out.

Hope Gospel Rescue Mission

YORK - The mission can house up to 8 men in their Men’s Dorm. They can house 6 women in their Women’s Dorm. In their year-long discipleship program they can have up to 6 women.They currently serve 3 meals a day at the mission.

As I began writing this week’s column, newscasters were speculating as to whether or not Punxsutawney Phil would see his shadow on February 2.For the record, I don’t put a whole lot of stock into weather prognosticating done by a groundhog.

UNL Deans’ List

LINCOLN -- More than 7,300 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the fall semester of the 2024-25 academic year.Qualification for the Deans’ List varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center.
