Dove Hunting Season Opens Sept. 1

With the annual dove season opener on Sept. 1, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has some reminders for hunters, as well as recommendations for areas to hunt.Doves are abundant statewide and, with generous bag limits, provide excellent wing-shooting opportunities.

The Evangelical Free and Baptist Churches of Stromsburg has partnered for many years in Wednesday night kids’ and youth ministry. AWANA is held at the E-Free church and His Kids at the Baptist. Both start at 6:30 pm and run until 8-8:15 pm.

Bob and Avis Blase of Osceola are celebrating 60 years of marriage. They were married August 19, 1966 at Christ Lutheran Church in Grand Island. They are the parents of Wendy and Thomas and grandparents to Riley, Mia, Makenna, Avery and Cassidy.Acard shower is requested by the family.
