The Osceola Community Action Group welcomes donations for a new speaker system to be used by the community, especially for outdoor events. It is our goal to have a new system in place for Memorial Day next May.

White Graduates From Doane

CRETE — Over 150 students crossed the stage at Doane University’s winter commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 14. The ceremony began at 1 p.m. for students receiving undergraduate degrees from the university’s Crete campus and graduate degrees who attended the Lincoln campus.

It’s always fun to get Christmas cards and catch up on what’s happening in the lives of friends and extended family. But after the Christmas hustle and bustle, the cards and letters and photos usually get tucked away with the rest of our Christmas “stuff”.

Stromsburg Giving Tree

The first annual Stromsburg Giving Tree was a success beyond expectations. Without generous donations, volunteers’ time and the desire to make 33 kids’ Christmases bright, it wouldn’t have happened. All purchased gifts were ready and sorted by December 16th.
